About Us

Susan Goodison is the founder and principal of Financial & Leadership Consultants.  Susan formed Financial & Leadership Consultants following an extensive career in state and local government, serving in executive and senior management roles in administrative and finance functions.  Susan draws upon this experience to develop and conduct financial skills assessments and financial training for financial and non-financial leaders, and to provide financial leadership coaching.

Susan's technical financial expertise includes utility rate setting, municipal bond issuance and administration, long term financial planning, financial reporting, and strategic planning.  Susan's sector expertise includes utilities, pensions and housing.

Susan is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics and has passed the Uniform CPA Examination.  Susan is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) as well as the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).

Susan was raised in the St. Lawrence River Valley of Northern New York, raised her family in Northern California and currently makes her home with her fiance in New York's beautiful Southern Tier.
